Progressive Salem presents: Introduction of 2 Progressive Candidates for Ward 3 City Council seat – Monday, Nov. 11th

Progressive Salem presents:

Introduction of 2 Progressive Candidates for Ward 3 City Council seat

Monday, November 11, 2019 | 7:00 PM

Marion County Democrats Office | 245 High Street NE (new location)

The purpose of the meeting is to introduce 2 progressive candidates for Salem City Council, Trevor Phillips and Vanessa Nordyke.  Trevor is running to represent Ward 3, the seat currently held by Brad Nanke.  Vanessa is running to represent Ward 7, the seat held by Sally Cook until her recent resignation.  Ward 3 is in south Salem, east of Lone Oak to the eastern city boundary. Ward 7 is in south Salem, west of Lone Oak to the western Salem boundary.

The candidates will answer your questions.  And you will have an opportunity to get involved in their campaigns.

This year will be an important year for us with three seats on the Salem City Council (Wards 1, 5, and 7) currently held by Progressives to defend, and our desire to win another seat in Ward 3 to add to our Progressive majority.  We need everyone on board for this effort.

Please join us at our next meeting on Monday, November 11 at 7 PM at the new Marion County Democrats Office.  The new Dems office is at 245 High Street NE.   It is next door to Ranch Records and across the street from the bus station — between Chemeketa and Court Streets.

Tina Calos, Progressive Salem Chair
